This is not an easy post to write.
After just over two years of building Bono, we’ve made the difficult decision to shut down our platform. All monthly donation plans will be cancelled by the end of September.
But before anything else — thank you. Truly.
Thanks to you, and the incredible Bono community, we created real, tangible impact together. Here’s what we’ve accomplished:
- 🐑 347 farm animals rescued
- 🧠 42 mental health support groups sponsored
- 🌳 4,167 trees planted for reforestation
- 🏳️🌈 17 months of safe housing for LGBTQ+ individuals
- 👩🎓 6,219 school days funded for girls
- 📚 595 children taught to read
- 🌍 167 acres of natural habitat protected
- 🏠 417 homeless children fed for a week
- 🍲 1,042 meals provided for the hungry
- 🇺🇸 167 hot meals for military families
- 🏠 34 emergency shelter kits provided
- 🚑 93 family first-aid kits delivered in disaster zones
Every one of these changes happened because you chose to give through Bono. Individually, your monthly donation made a difference. Together, as a community, it became something extraordinary.
